The organization, which aids orphans and the needy across the World, is continuing its relief efforts in Africa, distributing food and clothes, building mosques and freshwater wells, and carrying out projects that aim to help the disabled.

With the help of donors, the organization will build a mosque, named Ummah Muhammed Mosque, and a water well in Mali’s Ségala town.

The foundation of the mosque and the well, which will be built with donations collected in Turkey, was laid with the participation of European Orphan Hand Deputy Chairman Serdar Şişman and 5 young businessmen.

“We laid the foundation of a mosque in Mali with the donations of philanthropists. We have so far built mosques and madrasas in many parts of Africa. We are proud of laying the foundation of the Ummah Muhammed Mosque in the Ségala town, one of the poorest places in Mali. Hopefully, my Lord will allow us to conduct the inauguration of this mosque as soon as possible. The population of the town is 2,500. There is no mosque here at the moment. If Allah wills, we will build one for our brothers living here,” Şişman said.

Şişman also called on benefactors to give more donations to meet the basic needs of people in Mali. (ILKHA)
