The measures against the Omicron variant of COVID-19 and the country’s ongoing vaccination campaign will be at top of the agenda for the meeting.

The current situation in intensive care units, studies on the domestic vaccine TURKOVAC, and the coronavirus drug will also be evaluated at the meeting.

The meeting will be held through video conference at 17:30 o'clock.

Health Minister Fahrettin Koca will issue a written statement after the meeting.

Turkish Health Ministry has so far reported 13,173,859 cases, 91,388 deaths, and 12,267,388 recoveries over the past day.

The coronavirus has so far infected 418,186,917 people and killed 5,869,101 patients across the World. (ILKHA)
