Seasonally adjusted employment rate realized as 46.7%

The number of seasonally adjusted employed persons increased by 740 thousand to 29 million 927 thousand persons in the fourth quarter of 2021 compared to the previous quarter. Seasonally adjusted employment rate occurred as 46.7% with increase of 1.0 percentage points.

Seasonally adjusted labor force participation rate realized as 52.6%

The seasonally adjusted labor force increased by 661 thousand persons to 33 million 706 thousand persons in the fourth quarter of 2021 compared to the previous quarter and the seasonally adjusted labor force participation rate was 52.6% with 0.8 percentage point increase.

Seasonally adjusted youth unemployment rate was 21.4% and seasonally adjusted employment rate was 33.7%

Seasonally adjusted youth unemployment rate in the 15-24 age group was 21.4% with 0.8 percentage point decrease and seasonally adjusted employment rate was 33.7% with 1.0 percentage point increase in the fourth quarter of 2021 compared to the previous quarter. Seasonally adjusted labor force participation rate in this age group realized as 42.8% with 0.8 percentage point increase.

55.5% of seasonally adjusted employment was in the services sector

In the fourth quarter of 2021 compared to the previous quarter, the number of seasonally adjusted agricultural employment increased by 68 thousand persons, industry increased by 247 thousand persons, construction increased by 36 thousand persons and services increased by 388 thousand persons. According to the distribution of employment by sector; 16.9% was employed in agriculture, 21.6% was employed in industry, 6.1% was employed in construction and 55.5% was employed in services.

Seasonally and calendar adjusted weekly average actual working hours realized as 44.8

Seasonally and calendar adjusted number of employed persons at work increased by 1 million 220 thousand persons and reached 28 million 292 thousand persons in the fourth quarter of 2021 compared to the previous quarter. The weekly average actual working hours of those at work increased by 0.5 hours compared to the previous quarter and became 44.8 hours, while the total weekly hours worked increased by 67 million 586 thousand hours and reached 1 billion 267 million 722 thousand hours compared to the previous quarter.

Seasonally adjusted composite measure of labor underutilization rate realized as 22.5%

The rate of composite measure of labor underutilization consisting of time-related underemployment, potential labor force and unemployment was 22.5% with 0.2 percentage point increase in the fourth quarter of 2021 compared to the previous quarter. While combined rate of time-related underemployment and unemployment realized as 15.5%, combined rate of unemployment and potential labor force realized as 18.6%.

Unemployment rate realized as 11.0%

Unemployment rate realized as 11.0% with 1.9 percentage point decrease in the fourth quarter of 2021 compared to the same quarter of the previous year. The number of unemployed persons decreased by 290 thousand to 3 million 680 thousand persons compared to the same quarter of the previous year.

Employment rate realized as 46.5%

 Employment rate realized as 46.5% with 3.9 percentage point increase in the fourth quarter of 2021 compared to the same quarter of the previous year. The number of employed persons estimated as 29 million 815 thousand persons with 2 million 992 thousand persons increase.

Labor force participation rate realized as 52.3%

Labor force participation rate was 52.3% with 3.5 percentage point increase in the fourth quarter of 2021 compared to the same quarter of the previous year. The number of labor force estimated as 33 million 496 thousand persons with 2 million 702 thousand persons increase.

The rate of unregistered employment in the non-agricultural sector was 18.1%

In the fourth quarter of 2021 compared to the same quarter of the previous year, the rate of unregistered employment, which indicates the share of those who are not affiliated with social security institution in total employment realized as 28.7% with 1.1 percentage point decrease. The rate of unregistered employment in the non-agricultural sector realized as 18.1% with 1.1 percentage point decrease compared to the same quarter of the previous year.

70.5% of the employment was regular or casual employees

70.5% of the employment was regular or casual employees, 4.5% were employers, 16.4% were self-employed, 8.7% were unpaid family workers.
