Putin, Biden to talk over phone amid growing Russia-Ukraine tension
Russian President Vladimir Putin and the United States President will have a phone conversation on Saturday.
“Indeed, the US side requested a conversation with President Putin, and the talks of the two presidents are planned to take place tomorrow in the evening,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Friday.
“The request was preceded by a letter from the US side,” he added.
US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said that “I would expect that President Biden will engage by telephone with President Putin, but I don't have anything to announce for you on that right now”. (ILKHA)
