The coalition forces conducted a special operation and dropped forces in the vicinity of Atmah, local sources reported.

At least 12 civilians, including 7 children and 3 women, were killed by US forces during the operation that was carried out on a house in the town of Atmah in the night.

“U.S. Special Operations forces under the control of U.S. Central Command conducted a counterterrorism mission this evening in northwest Syria.  The mission was successful.  There were no U.S. casualties. More information will be provided as it becomes available,” U.S. Department of Defense spokesperson John Kirby said in a statement.

According to the local reports, U.S.-led Coalition airstrikes have killed more than 15,000 people across Syria since 2014. (ILKHA)
