Turkey’s economic confidence index realizes as 100.8
The economic confidence index which was 98.2 in December 2021 increased by 2.7% in January 2022 to 100.8, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a statement on Friday.
This increase in economic confidence index stemmed from the increases in consumer, real sector (manufacturing industry), services, and retail trade confidence indices.
Consumer confidence index increased by 6.2% and became 73.2, real sector confidence index increased by 1.6% and became 111.9, services confidence index increased by 1.2% and became 120.2, retail trade confidence index increased by 2.5% and became 124.4 in January 2022 compared to the previous month.
On the other hand, construction confidence index decreased by 5.0% and became 85.5 in January 2022. (ILKHA)
