Russian president Putin to visit Turkey—Kremlin
Russian President Vladimir Putin accepted Erdogan invitation to visit Turkey once Covid situation and schedules allow it, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday.
“Erdogan said that he would be happy to host Putin in Turkey. President Putin gratefully accepted this invitation. The visit will take place as soon as the epidemic situation and the schedules of the presidents of the two countries allow,” Peskov stated.
On Wednesday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that he had invited the Russian leader to visit Turkey. He also reiterated Ankara's readiness “if both sides wish” to host the Presidents of Russia and Ukraine, Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky, so that they could continue the path to restore the atmosphere of peace.
