HÜDA PAR: Normalization with zionist regime is unacceptable
HÜDA PAR spokesman, Şehzade Demir, warned the Turkish government against normalization with zionist occupation regime, which gradually expands its illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank and occupied Jerusalem.
In his weekly statement on the recent developments in the world, HÜDA PAR Spokesperson and Secretary-General Şehzade Demir expressed his party's views regarding the ban on the headscarf in sports competitions in France, the humanitarian crisis in Yemen and Syria, possible normalization policies between Turkey and the Zionist regime, and the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan.
Headscarf ban in sports competitions in France
Reminding that the law proposal to ban the headscarf in sports competitions was accepted in France, which has become the center of Islamophobia, Demir noted that the attacks against Islam and Muslims continue in all areas in the country where Muslim establishments and places of worship were closed for unfounded reasons.
Demir said: "Aiming to drive Islam away from Europe, France carries out all kinds of racist/discriminatory actions in this direction. We condemn this marginalizing and hostile attitude of France. Everyone, especially Islamic countries, should take action against this discriminatory/racist and hostile attitude, and it should be ensured that the rights and freedoms of Muslims living in Europe, especially France, are guaranteed.”
The humanitarian crisis in Yemen and Syria
Pointing out that civilians pay the heaviest price of war in Yemen and Syria, where the civil war has been going on for many years, Demir continued as follows:
“Almost all of the civilians in Yemen, which was one of the poorest countries in the world even before the war, are struggling with hunger and epidemics. Parties that do not agree to a political solution are sacrificing civilians for their political aims. In the country, where even medicine and basic foodstuffs cannot be delivered to many regions due to armed groups, civilians are virtually subjected to genocide. In order to end the humanitarian crisis in Yemen, an unconditional ceasefire should be implemented immediately, and basic supplies should be provided to all civilians in the country.
The images in the refugee camps in Syria, where a similar crisis continues, are heartbreaking. Civilians struggling with severe winter conditions are trying to survive in tents that collapsed due to snow. This war, which has deepened the crisis every day for 11 years, must be ended immediately before it causes more civilian casualties, and the parties must be persuaded to come together. In order to prevent civilian casualties, a mobilization campaign should be started immediately for civilians facing the danger of freezing in cold weather conditions, and more suitable settlements should be built.”
“Normalization with zionist regime is unacceptable”
Stating that the recent messages from Turkey and the zionist regime authorities have revealed their intention to normalize relations between two countries, Demir said: “A normalization that will work against the Palestinian people and the cause of Jerusalem is unacceptable with the occupying regime, which massacred 319 Palestinians only in 2021, targeted innocent children in the attacks on Gaza, and increased the size of the occupation day by day. Any ‘legitimation’ step that will cause the occupation regime to increase the extent of its violations should be avoided. The only condition should be the withdrawal of the occupation regime, whose existence is illegitimate and which commits crimes against humanity, from all occupied lands, and all kinds of economic and political rapprochement with the occupation regime should be avoided.”
“We call for support for aid campaigns launched for Afghanistan”
HUDA PAR Spokesperson Şehzade Demir concluded his remarks by saying: “The ongoing humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan has reached truly unprecedented levels with the harsh winter. The international blockade imposed due to the new Afghan government has turned into the punishment of the entire geography, together with the people. The country’s government is subjected to political isolation, a brutal economic embargo, and siege are continued. While the people of Afghanistan are in need of even a dollar in these difficult conditions, more than 10 billion dollars of reserves belonging to the people of Afghanistan have been blocked by the USA. This situation is neither humanitarian, moral, nor compatible with international law and custom. The continuation or withdrawal of the new administration is a decision for the people of Afghanistan to make. The total punishment of the people of Afghanistan and trying to discipline them with hunger is great persecution and the continuation of the occupation in a different way.
In order to end the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan and to stand on its own feet economically, the blocked money should be released, and the economic boycott, political isolation, and repression policies should be ended immediately. The UN and Islamic countries should urgently fulfill their responsibilities to end this isolation and boycott. We call on all Muslims around the world, together with the Muslim people in Turkey, to show solidarity with the Afghan people and support the aid campaigns.” (ILKHA)
