Turkey condemns forced eviction of Palestinian family in Jerusalem
Turkish Foreign Ministry has issued a press release regarding the forced eviction of the Salhiyeh Family from their home in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Jerusalem.
“We condemn the forced eviction of the Salhiyeh family from their home in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied East Jerusalem”, the Ministry said. “Decisions that lead to eviction and displacements of Palestinians in the Sheikh Jarrah district and other parts of the occupied territories contravene international law and human rights.”
The Ministry also emphasized that zionist regime’s unilateral practices, which erode the demographic and legal status of Jerusalem, undermine the vision of a two-state solution and the ground for lasting peace. (ILKHA)
