Turkey offers condolences to Afghanistan for earthquake victims
Turkish Foreign Ministry has issued a press release regarding the earthquake in western Afghanistan.
“We received the news with deep sorrow that an earthquake, which occurred in the Badghis Province in the west of Afghanistan claimed lives, left many injured, and caused damage to property,” the Ministry said.
“We extend our condolences to the families of those who lost their lives, as well as to the friendly and brotherly people of Afghanistan; wish swift recovery to the injured and reiterate that, as always, Türkiye stands ready to provide every kind of humanitarian assistance,” the Ministry added.
On Monday, a 5.3-magnitude earthquake hit Qadis district in Afghanistan’s western Badghis province, killing at least 26 people and damaging more than 700 homes. (ILKHA)
