Head of Birin village council, Farid Burqan, affirmed that large settler groups stormed the village escorted by zionits occupation forces (ZOF) who raided and searched a number of local homes.

Local residents were forced out of their houses, he added.

In a separate incident, three journalists were injured after being sprayed with pepper gas in a settler attack near Beitin village, east of Ramallah.

In Nablus, clashes broke out at the entrance to Burqa town after being violently stormed by ZOF troops amid heavy firing of tear-gas bombs and rubber bullets. Several locals were injured during the confrontations.

The town has also witnessed a large deployment of zionist soldiers ahead of a settler march.

Palestinian activists had earlier called for confronting any settler attack or break-in into the town.

This came after zionist settlers carried out violent attacks on the town over the past weeks in an attempt to rebuild the evacuated illegal settlement of Homish.

On the other hand, a Palestinian teen suffered gunshot injuries in his shoulder after Israeli forces stormed Biddu town in Occupied Jerusalem.

Another 15-year-old boy suffered a foot fracture after being chased by zionist forces in Beit Iksa town, northwest of Occupied Jerusalem. (ILKHA)
