At least 17 dead, 8 injured in South Africa’s road accident
Seventeen people have been killed and eight others injured after a head-on collision involving a 22-seater Iveco bus and a Toyota SUV in Limpopo province of South Africa.
According to local sources, the driver of the SUV lost control of the vehicle due to a tyre burst and collided head-on with a 22-seater Mercedes Benz bus.
“The occupants of the bus, as well as the driver, were burnt to death. The driver of the SUV was also killed on impact. Eight people survived – six are seriously injured and two escaped with minor injuries,” Limpopo department of transport and community safety said in a statement. (ILKHA)
