At least 6 people killed in explosion in southwestern China
At least 6 people were killed after a building housing a canteen in China's southwest municipality of Chongqing collapsed following an explosion on Friday.
The Ministry of Emergency Management said that 20 people were pulled from the rubble, six of whom died following rescue efforts.
The survivors were transferred to a nearby hospital, and some were in critical conditions, the Ministry said.
The search and rescue teams are still looking for another 11 people trapped in the debris of the Fengshan community staff canteen destroyed by the explosion, which has been caused by a gas leak, according to local sources. (ILKHA)
