NATO Foreign Ministers to discuss Russia’s military build-up at extraordinary virtual meeting
NATO will hold an extraordinary virtual meeting of foreign ministers on Friday to discuss the situation in Ukraine and upcoming talks with Russia.
“An extraordinary virtual meeting of the North Atlantic Council (NAC) at the level of Ministers of Foreign Affairs will be held via VTC on Friday 7 January 2022. NATO Foreign Ministers will discuss Russia’s military build-up in and around Ukraine and broader European security issues,” the alliance said in a statement.
The meeting, which will be chaired by the NATO Secretary-General, Jens Stoltenberg, will start on Friday at 14h00.
Stoltenberg is expected to brief the press after the meeting at +16:15 (TBC). (ILKHA)
