Turkey: Presidential cabinet to convene for 2022’s first meeting on Monday
Turkey’s Presidential Cabinet will convene at 15:00 on Monday for 2022’s first meeting under President Erdoğan's chairmanship at the Presidential Complex in Ankara.
The cabinet will discuss the country’s deepening financial woes and the recent depreciation of the Turkish lira, according to the Turkish presidency.
The ongoing operations of the Turkish armed forces within the country and outside the border will be evaluated at the meeting.
The recommendations put forth by the Coronavirus Scientific Advisory Board as well as the roll-out strategy of the country's COVID-19 vaccine Turkovac will be on the agenda for the meeting.
The cabinet also is expected to discuss the new normalization process with Armenia as well as the recent developments in Syria, the Aegean Sea, and the Mediterranean.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will make a statement after the meeting. (ILKHA)
