Turkey’s Erdoğan holds phone conversation with Russian President Putin
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Sunday.
“Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan exchanged seasons’ greetings, summed up the main results of bilateral cooperation, and reaffirmed their intention to further promote the mutually beneficial partnership between Russia and Turkey,” the Russian presidency said in a statement. “International topics were also touched upon, including well-known proposals to develop legal agreements that would guarantee the security of the Russian Federation, as well as the developments in Transcaucasia and issues related to the Syrian and Libyan settlement process.”
The statement also noted that two leaders had agreed to stay in touch. (ILKHA)
