“Revolting against the occupation is the only way to cease its crimes and regain the Palestinian rights,” Hamas underlined.

Hamas affirmed that comprehensive resistance, primarily armed resistance, and igniting the uprising against the occupation enemy, is the way for the Palestinian people to regain their rights, liberate their land, and defend their constants, sanctities, and detainees. “Resistance is the one capable of deterring the occupier, curbing its aggression, and stopping its escalating crimes.”

Hamas said that the occupation crimes against our Palestinian people, land, and holy sites will not be subjected to a statute of limitations, and the criminal occupation leaders will be prosecuted as war criminals.

The Hamas movement indicated that the liberation of all detainees from the occupation prisons is a national responsibility that tops Hamas's priorities, stressing that the occupation soldiers in the grip of the resistance will not see the light until our heroic detainees obtain their complete freedom, in an honorable swap deal.

Warning of its dangers and repercussions, Hamas pointed out the continued blockade on the Gaza Strip for more than 15 years, and the failure to honor the commitments made for the reconstruction of what the occupation destroyed, increase the suffering of more than two million Palestinian citizens, exacerbates the humanitarian and living crises of its residents.

Hamas called on the Arab and Islamic nations and the free peoples of the world to take urgent action to end this unjust siege.

Hamas stressed that it will not accept the occupation's continued aggression, colonial settlement, and Judaization against our Palestinian land, people, and holy sites in the West Bank, Jerusalem, the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Ibrahimi Mosque, and the 1948 occupied lands.

Hamas saluted all the rebellious heroes of our Palestinian people in Jenin, Burqa, Sebastia, Jabal Sabih, and all the cities and villages of the West Bank who are defending their Palestinian land, identity, sanctities, and detainees in the occupation prisons.

The Battle of al-Furqan

The Gaza War, also known in the Muslim world as the Gaza Massacre and referred to as the Battle of al-Furqan by Hamas, was a three-week armed conflict between Gaza Strip Palestinian resistance groups and the Zionist occupation forces that began on 27 December 2008 and ended on 18 January 2009 with a unilateral ceasefire.

The war lasted for 22 days during which zionist regime’s aircraft, warships and tanks bombed Gaza with hundreds of thousands of high explosives, including munitions such as white phosphorus, banned internationally for use in built-up areas.

At least 1,400 Palestinians were killed in the zionists’ brutal attacks, including 412 children, 111 women, 14 paramedics and four journalists. More than 5,000 Palestinians were injured. (ILKHA)
