Turkey's road motor vehicle registrations up in November-- TurkStat

Regarding the vehicle registrations in November, cars accounted for 49.4%, followed by motorcycles 21.5%, small trucks 17.0%, tractors 8.0%, trucks 3.1%, buses 0.5%, minibuses 0.4% and special purpose vehicles 0.1%.

The number of road motor vehicle registrations increased by 3.6% compared with the previous month

 In November, compared with the previous month, the number of road motor vehicle registrations increased by 19.4% for tractors, 13.6% for small trucks,10.3% for trucks, 9.9% for buses and 0.7% for cars while it decreased by 36.0% for special purpose vehicles, 14.6% for minibuses, 2.0% for motorcycles respectively.

The number of road motor vehicles registered decreased by 13.5% compared with the same month of the previous year 

In November, compared with the same month of the previous year, the number of road motor vehicle registrations increased by 55.5%, 35.4%, 18.0%, 3.0% for motorcycles, trucks, tractors and small trucks while it decreased by 34.1%, 23.0%, 22.2% and 20.2% for cars, special purpose vehicles, minibuses and buses respectively.   

At the end of November, the total number of road motor vehicles registered reached 25 million 188 thousand 967

At the end of November, cars represented 54.3%, small trucks 16.3%, motorcycles 14.8%, tractors 8.0%, trucks 3.5%, minibuses 2.0%, buses 0.8% and special purpose vehicles 0.3% of total number of road motor vehicles registered.

1 million 135 thousand 228 road motor vehicles handed over in November

Among vehicles handed over in November, cars accounted for 71.7% followed by small trucks 15.8%, motorcycles 4.8%, tractors 3.6%, trucks 1.9%, minibuses 1.6%, buses 0.5% and special purpose vehicles 0.1%. 

In November, 43 thousand 837 cars were registered to the traffic

In terms of the distribution of trademarks for the new registered cars in November, Renault recorded 15.2%, Fiat 11.1%, Peugeot 9.7%, Toyota 8.8%, Hyundai 7.4%, Volkswagen 7.0%, Citroen 5.8%, Honda 5.7%, BMW 3.5%, Opel 3.2%, Dacia 2.6%, Skoda 2.6%, Audi 2.4%, Ford 2.3%, Mercedes-Benz 2.2%, Volvo 1.9%, Nissan 1.7%, Kia 1.3%, Seat 1.0%, Suzuki 0.9% and the other trademarks 3.6% of the total.             

In the period of January-November 1 million 87 thousand 603 road motor vehicles were registered

In January-November period, compared to the same period of the previous year, the number of registered vehicles increased by 14.1% and became 1 million 87 thousand 603 while the number of withdrawn road motor vehicles decreased by 11.1% and became 37 thousand 770. Hence, in the period of January-November the increase in motor vehicles registered became 1 million 49 thousand 833. 

In the period of January-November the ratio of cars registered using gasoline was 61.9%

Among 584 thousand 479 cars registered in the period of January-November, the share of gasoline-fuelled cars was 61.9% followed by diesel-fuelled cars with 23.8%, electric or hybrid cars with 9.1% and LPG-fuelled cars with 5.2%. At the end of November, among 13 million 676 thousand 615 registered cars, the share of diesel-fuelled cars was 37.7% followed by LPG-fuelled cars with 36.0% and gasoline-fuelled cars with 25.5%. The share of electric or hybrid cars was 0.7% and the cars with unknown fuel type was 0.3%. 

Most frequent engine size was 1401-1500 for registered cars in January-November period

Within 584 thousand 479 cars registered to traffic in January-November period, 28.8% had 1401-1500, 27.4% had 1300 or less, 21.7% had 1301-1400, 14.4% had 1501-1600, 6.4% had 1601-2000, 0.7% had 2001 and above engine size.  

In January-November period 238 thousand 390 of cars registered were white

Within 584 thousand 479 cars registered to traffic in January-November period, 40.8% of them were white, 27.7% were grey, 11.0% were blue, 7.7% were red, 6.4% were black, 2.2% were orange, 1.1% were brown, 0.6% were yellow, 0.5% were green and 2.0% were in other colors. (ILKHA)
