Kurdistan: 8 people die, 4 injured in floods
Eight people died and four members of civil defense forces were injured after floods hit six neighborhoods in Erbil, Kurdistan’s capital, early on Friday.

Hundreds of vehicles were swept away in the floods, including a vehicle from civil defense forces.
The floodwaters overwhelmed a number of houses, leaving many people without a place to live.
“The flooding began at about 4 am this morning in parts of the province and that teams were occupied and need the cooperation of the public,” Erbil Governor Omid Khoshnaw said. (ILKHA)
