HÜDA PAR to celebrate 9th anniversary of its foundation on Sunday
HÜDA PAR (Free Cause Party) will celebrate the 9th anniversary of its foundation in an event that will be held in Ankara on Sunday.
HÜDA PAR, which came to the political scene with the notion of "Honest Politics, True Justice", will celebrate the ninth anniversary of its inception under the motto “the country needs HÜDA PAR”.
The celebration program to be held by HÜDA PAR Headquarters at The Green Park Hotel in Ankara will be attended by party founders and officials, NGO representatives, academics, members of the press and numerous invitees, as well as the party’s chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu.
Speaking to Ilke News Agency regarding the program, HÜDA PAR Secretary General and Spokesperson Şehzade Demir said: “We will witness that the sun of HUDA PAR shines in the coming months.”

“HÜDA PAR did its part by paying a heavy price”
“It has been 9 years since the establishment of our party. These 9 years have been difficult and troublesome times for both HÜDA PAR and Turkey. Everyone has taken on heavy responsibilities in their own way. From day one, HÜDA PAR has properly fulfilled all its responsibilities. HUDA PAR did its part by paying a heavy price and made invaluable contributions to Turkey's politics and society during the times when the political arena was narrowed and Turkey's path was tried to be blocked many times,” Demir said.
“Our Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu will give important messages regarding Turkey’s politics”
Demir continued his remarks as follows: “The celebration program, which will be held at The Green Park Hotel in Ankara on Sunday, will be attended by party founders and officials, NGO representatives, academics, members of the press, and numerous invitees, as well as Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu. Yapıcıoğlu will give important messages regarding Turkey’s politics.”
Demir underlined that the economic troubles that Turkey is facing at the moment have once again shown the country's need for HÜDA PAR.
The Free Cause Party (Hür Dava Partisi) was founded on December 17, 2012, after the Movement of the Oppressed announced its will to found a political party, basically to challenge the hegemony of the left-wing and Kurdish nationalist Peace and Democracy Party.
Societies affiliated with HÜDA PAR operate under the umbrella of The Prophet’s Lovers Foundation particularly active in Mawlid meetings in southeastern Turkey.
HÜDA PAR calls for the constitutional recognition of the Kurds and Kurdish language, mother tongue education, the end to the 10 percent election threshold, and the decentralization of state power and strengthening of local administration.
The party also advocates for restrictions on the freedom of religion and worship to be lifted, the headscarf ban ended, wants adultery criminalized, and religious marriages to be recognized.
Moreover, the party demands that the Turkish state apologizes to Kurds and reinstate the original names of Kurdish-populated places. (ILKHA)
