Turkey: House sales rise by 59.0% in November
In Turkey, house sales increased by 59.0% in November compared to the same month of the previous year and became 178 thousand 814, the country’s statistical agency said.
İstanbul had the highest share with 17.7% and 31 thousand 706 house sales. The followers of İstanbul were Ankara with 17 thousand 117 house sales and İzmir with 11 thousand 116 house sales with the share of 9.6% and 6.2% respectively. The provinces with the lowest number of sales were Hakkari with 36, Ardahan with 65 and Bayburt 98 house sales.
Houses sales decreased by 9.2% in January-November 2021
In January-November period, house sales decreased by 9.2% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 1 million 265 thousand 353.
Mortgaged house sales became 39 thousand 366
In Turkey, mortgaged house sales increased by 61.0% in November compared to the same month of the previous year and became 39 thousand 366. Mortgaged house sales had 22.0% share of all house sales. In January-November period, mortgaged house sales decreased by 55.4% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 249 thousand 270.
Other house sales became 139 thousand 448
In Turkey, other house sales increased by 58.4% in November compared to the same month of the previous year and became 139 thousand 448. Other house sales had 78.0% share of all house sales. In January-November period, other house sales increased by 21.7% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 1 million 16 thousand 83.
55 thousand 706 houses were sold for the first time
In Turkey, first time house sales increased by 52.0% in November compared to the same month of the previous year and became 55 thousand 706. First time sales had 31.2% share of all house sales in Turkey. In January-November period, first time house sales decreased by 11.1% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 384 thousand 776.
Second hand house sales became 123 thousand 108
In Turkey, second hand house sales increased by 62.4% in November compared to the same month of the previous year and became 123 thousand 108. Second hand sales had 68.8% share of all house sales in Turkey. In January-November period, second hand house sales decreased by 8.3% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 880 thousand 577.
In November, 7 thousand 363 houses were sold to foreigners
House sales to foreigners increased by 48.4% in November compared to the same month of the previous year and became 7 thousand 363. House sales to foreigners had 4.1% share of all house sales. İstanbul ranked first with 2 thousand 922 sales to foreigners. The followers of İstanbul were Antalya with a thousand 917 house sales and Ankara with 428 house sales to foreigners.
In January-November period, house sales to foreigners increased by 39.4% compared to the same period of the previous year and became 50 thousand 735.
House sales were mostly made to Iran citizens according to nationalities
In November, Iran citizens bought a thousand 406 houses from Turkey. The followers of Iran citizens were Iraq citizens with a thousand 75 house sales and Russia citizens with 836 house sales. (ILKHA)
