6 killed, 3 injured in road accident in Turkey’s capital
Six people were killed and three others were injured after a vehicle collided with another vehicle in the Kahramankazan district of Turkish capital Ankara on Saturday morning.
Ambulances, police, and fire crews were dispatched to the scene after the accident had been reported to the officials.
The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital in Ankara, local sources reported.
The officers were investigating how the crash happened.
Traffic accidents claim thousands of lives every year in Turkey. According to figures by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), 4,866 people were killed in traffic accidents and another 226,266 people suffered injuries in the country last year.
