Fierce storm kills two people, causes damages in northwestern Turkey
At least two people were killed when a violent storm hit Istanbul province in northwestern Turkey on Monday.
The storm blew roofs in Esenyurt district, killing a mother and her child, officials said.
The traffic flow congested on North Marmara Highway after some vehicles were knocked over by the violent storm.
The storm collapsed a clock tower in Çatalca district, according to the local sources
At the same time, it was reported that trees were uprooted, tiles were blown away, signboards and giant cranes were knocked down in some parts of Istanbul due to strong winds. (ILKHA)
