According to local sources, police forces transferred Sheikh Bakirat, who is also head of the Aqsa Academy for Science and Heritage, to an unknown place after kidnaping him from the car he was driving in the Bab al-Asbat area, east of the Old City of Jerusalem.

On May 6, Sheikh Bakirat received an israeli order banning his entry to the Aqsa Mosque for six months, which ended in early November.

Meanwhile, the zionist police in the morning also summoned activists Khadija Khuwais and Hinadi al-Halawani, who work as teachers at the Aqsa Mosque, for interrogation at the Moskobiya detention center in west Jerusalem.

Because of their supportive positions on the Aqsa Mosque, Khuwais and Halawani have been summoned, arrested, interrogated and assaulted by the zionist police several times before. The police also banned their entry to the Mosque and their travel abroad many times.

They are two of many Jerusalemite women whose medical insurance has been revoked because of their peaceful activities in defense of the Aqsa Mosque.

Since the deadly shooting operation that happened a few days ago in the Old City of Jerusalem, the zionist occupation authority and its police have escalated their provocative and aggressive practices against the native Palestinian population in the holy city. (ILKHA)
