Ali Heydar Kaytan, one of the founders of the PKK organization, was killed during the operation carried out by the National Intelligence Organization (NIS) and the Turkish Armed Forces in northern Iraq.

The organization hid Kaytan's death to avoid the low morale of its members, said security sources.
