“International Organization to Support the Prophet of Islam” was inaugurated last week with a ceremony in Istanbul, Turkey's most populous city as well as its cultural and financial hub.

Many prominent Islamic scholars, politicians, and academicians across the world, including Khaled Mishal, the head of Hamas' political bureau abroad, Enver Kılıçarsan, the head of İTTİHADUL ULEMA, Abdulvahap Ekinci, the president of the International Islamic Scholars Organization, and Mehmet Görmez, the head of Institute of Islamic Thought, attended the event, which was held in the Bağcılar district.

Speaking at the event, Sheikh Mohamed Al-Sagheer said France’s reputation was debased after Muslims had launched a boycott campaign against French products over Emmanuel Macron’s hostile policies against Muslims and Islam.

“The future belongs to Islam. Its footsteps can be heard everywhere nowadays. The courage, victory, and glory of the mujahideen in Palestine and the victory of the Taliban fighters in Afghanistan are just the beginning,” Sagheer said.

Sagheer also described Turkey’s support for the oppressed Muslims as the footsteps of this beginning.

Touching upon the boycotting campaign against French products which was launched by Muslims worldwide, Sagheer said: "One year has passed since we launched the boycotting campaign that was the smallest deed we could do to defend our honorable Prophet."

“With the boycott, we damaged France's reputation even though we couldn't hit it financially”

“To launch a boycotting campaign was the weakest of faith. If most of the Islamic countries had supported the campaign, then people would have taken a stance that is worthy of our Prophet’s dignity. Even if the campaign did not hurt France financially, it damaged France's reputation. Many states and institutions spent billions of dollars to restore France’s damaged reputation. With the boycott, we damaged France's reputation even though we couldn't hit it financially. As Muslims, we also managed to come together under an honorable banner. So, the Islamic World united with all groups and jamaats. Today, you represent the Ummah from India to Pakistan and Afghanistan, from the Gulf to the entire Arab and Islamic world. Here right now, the Islamic Ummah is under the banner of supporting the Messenger of Allah and represented in Mehmet the Conqueror's hometown, the land of Conquest.”

Noting that the campaign to boycott French products did not only come to the fore in the media but also was applied in practice, Sagheer reminded that the biggest Carrefour branches in Riyadh and Cairo officially announced that they would return the shares of France.

In conclusion, Sagheer said that the International Organization to Support the Prophet of Islam will have a media department in order to facilitate coordination among Islamic Scholars to adopt a common stance against the insults to Prophet Muhammed (PBUH). (ILKHA)
