Turkey’s services producer price index rises by 31.30%
Services producer price index (S-PPI) increased by 31.30% annually and decreased by 2.32% monthly, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a statement on Thursday.
S-PPI (2017=100) decreased by 2.32% monthly, increased by 28.88% on December of the previous year, by 31.30% on same month of the previous year and by 27.18% on the twelve months moving averages basis in September 2021.
Transportation and storage services increased by 32.72% annually
The indices increased by 32.72% for transportation and storage services, by 24.86% for accommodation and food services, by 13.35% for information and communication services, by 114.82% for real estate services, by 19.76% for professional, scientific and technical services, by 20.61% for administrative and support services compared with the previous year.
Transportation and storage services decreased by 2.07% monthly
The indices decreased by 2.07% for transportation and storage services, by 2.88% for accommodation and food services, increased by 1.73% for information and communication services, decreased by 6.55% for real estate services, increased by 1.69% for professional, scientific and technical services, decreased by 4.90% for administrative and support services compared with the previous month.
Compared to general S-PPI, lower annual change observed in 20 subdivisions while 7 subdivisions were higher
The lowest rates of annual increase in S-PPI by subdivisions of services were for telecommunications services by 6.83%, for office administrative, support and other business support services by 8.81%, for legal and accounting services by 11.62%. On the other hand, the highest rates of annual increase in S-PPI by subdivisions of services were for real estate services by 114.82%, for water transport services by 82.23%, for warehousing and support services for transportation by 52.95%.
Compared to general S-PPI, lower monthly change observed in 5 subdivisions while 22 subdivisions were higher
The highest rates of monthly decrease in S-PPI by subdivisions of services were for air transport services by 13.89%, for travel agency, tour operator and other reservation services by 11.00%, for accommodation services by 10.37%.
On the other hand, the highest rates of monthly increase in S-PPI by subdivisions of services were for programming and broadcasting services 22.78%, for advertising and market research services by 9.41%, for motion picture, video and TV programme production services by 6.63%. (ILKHA)
