Hamas deplores court decision allowing silent Jewish prayers at Aqsa

In press remarks on Wednesday, Hamas spokesman Hazem Qasem warned that such Israeli step is part of the zionist regime’s efforts to divide the Mosque temporally and spatially between Muslims and Jews, describing it as a gross violation of all humanitarian laws and norms.

Spokesman Hazem accused the zionist judicial system of being complicit in targeting the Palestinian people and falsifying the historical facts of Palestine.

He stressed that such israeli decision would never change history or succeed in obliterating the Arab identity of the holy city.

“Our Palestinian people will continue their legitimate struggle against the Zionist plans that target the nation’s holy sites on the path to liberating the Palestinian soil in its entirety,” the spokesman underscored.

He also held some Arab parties in the region responsible for what happen in the holy city, affirming that their normalization of ties with the zionist occupation entity encouraged it to escalate its aggression against the Palestinian people and their holy sites.

The zionist magistrate court on Wednesday ruled that Jews can perform silent prayers at the Aqsa Mosque.

The ruling came after a case was brought forward by notorious rabbi Aryeh Lippo contesting a ban imposed by the police on his visits and prayers at the Islamic holy site.

The court judge ordered Lippo be allowed to return to his prayer at the site in Occupied Jerusalem. (ILKHA)
