Global coronavirus death toll surpasses 4,81 million
More than 235,4 million people have so far tested positive for coronavirus around the world.
The coronavirus outbreak, which was first identified in Wuhan, China, and declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization on March 11, 2020, is continuing to claim the lives of thousands of people across the world.
The United States, the current epicenter of the pandemic, has the highest number of coronavirus-related fatalities, with 719,674 deaths, followed by Brazil with 597,749 deaths, India with 448,846, and Mexico with 278,590 deaths.
Around 212 million patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospitals worldwide. (ILKHA)
