Erdoğan releases condolence message on the demise of Oğuzhan Asiltürk
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan shared a condolence message on the death of Oğuzhan Asiltürk, the head of the Felicity Party (SP) High Advisory Board, who died at the age of 86 in the hospital where he was treated for coronavirus.
“I have learned with deep grief about the death of our dear brother, Oğuzhan Asiltürk, one of the distinguished personalities of Turkish political life. I wish Allah’s mercy upon Oğuzhan Asiltürk and extend my condolences to his family, relatives, and all his loved ones. May he rest in peace,” Erdoğan tweeted.
Oğuzhan Asiltürk died at the age of 86 at a hospital in the capital Ankara on Friday morning.
He was hospitalized for COVID-19 earlier this month.
Asiltürk, one of the founders of the party, served as Turkey's interior and industry and technology minister.
He was married, with three children. (ILKHA)
