73rd joint Turkish-Russian land patrol conducted in Idlib
73rd joint Turkish-Russian land patrol has been conducted in Idlib province of northern Syria on Monday.
Setting out from the village of Ashma, 20 kilometers west of Kobani, the patrol consisted of eight Russian and Turkish military vehicles accompanied by two Russian helicopters.
After the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on March 5, 2020, Russia and Turkey came to a cease-fire agreement in Syria, which included joint Russian and Turkish patrols of a 12 kilometers (7.5 mile) wide corridor alongside the M4 Motorway that runs through Idlib to Latakia.
