Chinese version of Tiktok to limit users under 14 years old to 40 minutes per day
Douyin, the Chinese version of Tiktok, will limit users who are under 14 years old to 40 minutes per day.
Douyin users under 14 years old must use the youth mode, which limits their using time to 40 minutes a day and bans their using from 10 pm to 6 am.
The company said the mode will aim to protect teenagers from becoming addicted to short-video platforms.
The decision was taken after Beijing's announcement to limit screen time for minors. (ILKHA)
