Turkey issues arrest warrants for 214 FETO suspects
Turkish police launched operations from the coastal province of Izmir in search of 214 suspects, including colonels, lieutenant colonels and former cadets, over alleged links to the FETO Organization.
Operations were held across 41 provinces in the country and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).
Since May 2016, Turkey has classified the FETO organization as a terrorist organization under the assigned names Fethullahist Terrorist Organization and Parallel State Structure.
After the failed coup attempt in 2016, the government of Turkey blamed the group for the coup and authorities have arrested thousands of soldiers and judges who have links to the organization. (ILKHA)
