Turkey’s Erdoğan calls on educators and parents to get vaccinated against COVID-19
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered remarks at the opening of the academic year 2021-2022 at Sultanahmet Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in Istanbul on Monday.
“Schools are the nursery where the human resources of Turkey, which has great ideals and goals for the 100th anniversary of our Republic, are raised. We can elevate Turkey beyond the level of contemporary civilizations only with a high-quality and original system of education, which is equipped with cutting-edge technology,” Erdoğan stated.
“We can never repay our teachers”
“We can never repay our teachers, who raise our children and teach them to be an individual who is beneficial to humanity,” Erdoğan said.
Underlining the administration’s determination to continue face-to-face education, President Erdoğan called on citizens, especially educators and parents, to get vaccinated.
“Our children, who returned to school today after a long hiatus, are Turkey’s future,” Erdoğan emphasized.
