300 American citizens yet to be evacuated from Afghanistan as August 31 deadline looms
The United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that about 300 Americans who were remaining in Afghanistan want to leave the country.
“We have about 300 American citizens left, who have indicated to us that they want to leave. We are very actively working to help them get to the airport, get on a plane and get out of Afghanistan,” Blinken said.
The United States and other occupation forces are set to complete their own withdrawal by the August 31 deadline agreed with the Taliban officials. (ILKHA)
