The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the Palestinian Territories (OCHA) report on Saturday covered the period between 10 and 23 August and it stated that the demolitions displaced 32 people, including 14 children, and affected the livelihood of about 680 citizens.

It pointed out that a one-story building was forcibly demolished by its owners which led to the displacement of four families, 15 people, in the Shu’fat neighborhood of Occupied Jerusalem.

This happened after a final decision by the israeli Supreme Court that claimed that the settlers own the land on which the building was built and gave the families 20 days to evacuate their homes.

On August 10, the IOA bulldozed an agricultural road in Battir village in Bethlehem, affecting access to land for 100 families, 500 people.

OCHA report stated that around 100 children were affected by the demolition of an extension to a building that used to be a kindergarten in the Beit Safafa neighborhood of Jerusalem.

On August 22, about eight families were forced to evacuate their place of residence for 10 days for Israeli military exercises in Khirbet Ibziq in Tubas.

The report added that settlers injured at least six Palestinians, including a 15-year-old boy in the West Bank, and damaged or stole at least 30 Palestinian trees and olive saplings.

Furthermore, during the past two weeks, the Zionist occupation forces (ZOF) killed five Palestinians during search and arrest campaigns in the West Bank, noting that 55 Palestinians were killed by ZOF this year so far, all of them with live ammunition.

The ZOF soldiers wounded 221 Palestinians throughout the West Bank and 152 of them were injured during protests against settlement activities near Beita.

During the same period, ZOF carried out 92 search and arrest operations and arrested 104 citizens throughout the West Bank, most of these operations were in Jerusalem and al-Khalil. (ILKHA)
