Turkey condemns deadly attacks at Kabul airport
Turkish Foreign Ministry has issued a press release regarding the brutal attacks in Kabul.
“We are deeply saddened to receive the news that many people have lost their lives or were wounded as a result of terrorist attacks carried out in Kabul today,” the Ministry said.
“We condemn this heinous act in the strongest possible terms and offer our condolences to the bereaved families and wish a speedy recovery to the wounded,” the Ministry added.
On Thursday at 17:50 local time (13:20 UTC), during the evacuation of Afghanistan, a suicide bombing occurred near Abbey Gate at Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, Afghanistan. Shortly thereafter, a second bombing occurred several dozen meters away.
At least 103 people were killed in the attacks, including 13 US service members, who were the first American military casualties in Afghanistan since February 2020. (ILKHA)
