More than 20 Gazans injured as ZOF attacks protest near border fence
At least 20 Palestinian protesters were injured and others suffered from their exposure to tear gas on Wednesday evening when the zionist occupation forces (ZOF) attacked their rally in the east of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.
According to local sources, the ZOF fired live and rubber bullets and tear gas canisters at dozens of protesters who rallied near the border fence.
Five citizens were injured by live ammunition, two others by rubber-coated metal bullets, and seven were hit by tear gas grenades, said the health ministry in Gaza.
Dozens also suffered from inhaling tear gas after the ZOF used a drone to shower them with gas canisters. They received on-site medical assistance.
In an area not far from the border fence where the clashes took place, thousands of Palestinians participated in a popular and oratorical gathering organized by major Palestinian factions in the east of Khan Yunis. (ILKHA)
