Canada to implement COVID-19 vaccine passports in September
Canada has introduced a new health declaration form to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
People will be denied boarding their flight and denied entry into Canada if they do not meet all the required eligibility requirements for discretionary travel and/or could face additional fines on arrival.
Governments around the world have implemented similar health certificates in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
“The contact details and travel information provided can be used to more effectively track overseas visitors and minimize infection rates,” Canadian Health Ministry said.
After registering their details with the online ArriveCAN system, travelers are issued with a reference number and barcode which they will be required to present on arrival. (ILKHA)
