The number of employed persons increased by 602 thousand to 28 million 586 thousand persons in the period of June 2021 compared to the previous month. The employment rate occurred as 44.9% with a 0.9 percentage point increase.

Seasonally adjusted labor force participation rate realized as 50.2%

The number of persons in the labor force realized as 31 million 984 thousand persons with 222 thousand persons decrease in June 2021 compared to the previous month. The labor force participation rate was 50.2% with a 0.5 percentage point decrease.

The seasonally adjusted youth unemployment rate was 22.7%, the employment rate was 32.6%

The youth unemployment rate in the 15-24 age group was 22.7% with a 0.2 percentage point decrease compared to the previous month and the employment rate was 32.6% with 0.4 percentage point increase. The labor force participation rate in this age group realized as 42.3% with 0.6 percentage points increase compared to the previous month.

54.5% of seasonally adjusted employment was in the services sector

In June 2021, the number of agricultural employment increased by 163 thousand persons, the industry increased by 296 thousand persons, construction increased by 8 thousand persons, and services increased by 136 thousand persons. According to the distribution of employment by sector; 17.2% was employed in agriculture, 21.8% was employed in industry, 6.4% was employed in construction and 54.5% was employed in services.

Seasonally adjusted composite measure of labor underutilization rate realized as 22.4%

In June 2021, the rate of a composite measure of labor our underutilization consisting of time-related underemployment, potential labor force, and unemployment was 22.4% with a 4.7 percentage point decrease compared to the previous month. While the combined rate of time-related underemployment and unemployment realized as 14.6%, the combined rate of unemployment and potential labor force realized as 18.8%.

Unemployment rate realized as 10.4%, employment rate realized as 45.9%

The unemployment rate realized as 10.4% with a 2.6 percentage point decrease compared to the same month of the previous year. The number of unemployed persons decreased by 648 thousand to 3 million 380 thousand persons compared to the same month of the previous year.

The employment rate realized as 45.9% with a 2.9 percentage point increase compared to the same month of the previous year. The number of employed persons estimated as 29 million 227 thousand persons with 2 million 358 thousand persons increase compared to the same month of the previous year.

The labor force participation rate was 51.2% with a 1.8 percentage point increase compared to the same month of the previous year. The number of labor force estimated as 32 million 607 thousand persons with 1 million 711 thousand persons increase compared to the same month of the previous year.

The rate of unregistered employment in the non-agricultural sector was 17.3%

In June 2021, the rate of unregistered employment, which indicates the share of employment who are not affiliated with social security institution in total employment realized as 29.5% with a 2.2 percentage point decrease compared to the same month of the previous year.
