Turkey’s house sales slump by 29% in June

The mortgaged house sales in Turkey became 28 thousand 878 by decreasing 71.5% compared to the same month of the previous year. House sales with mortgages had a 21.4% share of all house sales. İstanbul had the highest share with 21.5% and 6 thousand 217 mortgaged sales. The province where the lowest number of other sales was Hakkari with 2 sales.

Ownership of 105 thousand 853 houses changed by other sales

Other house sales in Turkey became 105 thousand 853 by increasing 19.6% compared to the same month of the previous year. In the other sales, İstanbul was the first province with 19 thousand 616 sales and 18.5% share. Other house sales had a 75.9% share of all house sales in İstanbul. 40 thousand 92 houses were sold for the first time

First-time sales in Turkey became 40 thousand 92 by decreasing 31.6% compared to the same month of the previous year. First-time sales had a 29.8% share of all house sales in Turkey. In second-hand sales, İstanbul was the first province with 19 thousand 61 sales and 20.1% share. Share of the second-hand sales was 73.8% in İstanbul in total house sales. Ankara was the second province with 10 thousand 754 sales and Ankara was followed by İzmir with 5 thousand 394 sales.

Houses sales decreased by 11.5% in the January-June period

In the January-June period, 552 thousand 810 houses were sold and decreased by 11.5% compared to the same period of the previous year. Mortgaged sales were 104 thousand 168 and decreased by 60.9%. In other sales, it was 448 thousand 642 and increased by 25.2%. In this period, houses sold for the first time decreased by 15.1% and became 167 thousand 878. Second-hand house sales decreased by 9.9% and became 384 thousand 932.

In June, 4 thousand 748 houses were sold to foreigners

House sales to foreigners increased by 185.3% and became 4 thousand 748 compared to the same month of the previous year. İstanbul was the first province with 2 thousand 257 sales to foreigners in

June. The followers of İstanbul were Antalya with 906 house sales, Ankara with 300, Mersin with 221, and Bursa with 148 house sales to foreigners.

In the January-June period, house sales to foreigners increased by 43.7% and became 20 thousand 488 compared to the same period of the previous year.

Most house sales were made to Iraq citizens according to country nationalities

In June, Iraqi citizens bought 773 houses from Turkey. The followers of Iraq citizens were Iran with 683 house sales, Russia with 300, Afghanistan with 250, and German citizens with 192 house sales. (ILKHA)
