Several miners trapped after coal mine explosion in Pakistan
Several mineworkers were trapped when an explosion occurred in a coal mine in Baluchistan, the westernmost province of Pakistan.
The workers were working inside the coal mine in the Marwar area of the provincial capital of Quetta when the explosion happened due to the accumulation of toxic gas inside the mine, the local officials said.
Research and Rescue work to recover the trapped miners is underway.
On 27 May 2004, 15 miners died after a gas explosion at a coal mine in Baluchistan. (ILKHA)
