ZOF injures more than 80 Palestinians in West Bank
The zionist occupation forces (ZOF) on Friday attacked Palestinians in Nablus and Jenin, injuring dozens of them.
The Red Crescent Society said that its crews treated with 83 injuries in Beita, south of Nablus, after clashes broke out with the ZOF.
It pointed out that among the injuries were 8 with live bullets, 55 with tear gas canisters and 10 with metal-coated bullets.
The Red Crescent Society added that ZOF deliberately targeted its crews and one of them was wounded in his chest.
Beita has been witnessing daily confrontations for nearly two months, as part of protest activities against the establishment of the Givat Avitar outpost on the top of the Sobeih Mountain.
Meanwhile, eyewitnesses said that ZOF soldiers suppressed the weekly Beit Dajan march, east of Nablus.
The soldiers fired live bullets and stun grenades at the participants. No injuries were reported.
The march was launched after performing Friday prayer in the center of the village, towards the eastern region, rejecting the establishment of a settlement outpost.
In Jenin, the ZOF soldiers stormed the Tersala Mosque near Jaba’ town and forced the Muslim worshipers to leave the mosque.
ZOF also blocked maintenance and repair works in the mosque and prevented the citizens from performing Friday prayer in it.
The ZOF soldiers fired rubber-coated metal bullets and stun grenades at random and were deployed inside and around the area and on Jenin-Nablus Street.
The area is constantly exposed to incursions by the ZOF soldiers along with settlers' attempts to seize it. (ILKHA)
