A rise in the general index was realized in CPI (2003=100) on the previous month by 1.94%, on December of the previous year by 8.45%, on the same month of the previous year by 17.53%, and on the twelve months moving averages basis by 14.55% in June 2021.

Compared to general CPI, the lower annual change observed in 6 main groups while 6 main groups were higher.

The lowest annual increase was 2.01% in alcoholic beverages and tobacco. Communication with 6.13%, clothing, and footwear with 7.05%, and education with 10.86%, was the other main groups where the lowest annual increases realized. On the other hand, transportation with 26.29%, furnishings and household equipment with 25.69%, and food and non-alcoholic beverages with 19.99% were the main groups where high annual increases realized.

Compared to general CPI, the lower monthly change observed in 5 main groups while 7 main groups were higher.

The highest monthly decrease was 0.01% in alcoholic beverages and tobacco. Communication with 0.35%, health with 0.80%, and food and non-alcoholic beverages with 0.88% were the main groups that indicated the lowest monthly increase. On the other hand, furnishings and household equipment with 4.50%, recreation, and culture with 4.46%, and hotels, cafes, and restaurants with 3.82% were the main groups where high monthly increases realized.

In June 2021, within average prices of 415 items in the index, the average prices of 55 items decreased and the average prices of 54 items remained unchanged while the average prices of 306 items increased.
