Agricultural input price index in Turkey rises by 22.15% annually
Agricultural Input Price Index (Agricultural-IPI) increased by 22.15% annually and 1.71% monthly, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a statement on Monday.
Agriculture-IPI (2015=100) increased by 1.71% compared to previous month, increased by 6.55% compared to December of the previous year, increased by 22.15% compared to same month of the previous year and increased by 13.92% compared to twelve months moving averages, in April 2021.
Monthly changes with respect to previous month by main groups, goods and services currently consumed in agricultural index increased by 1.69% and goods and services contributing to agricultural investment index increased by 1.85%. The goods and services currently consumed in agricultural index increased by 21.89% and the goods and services contributing to agricultural investment index increased by 23.72% compared to same month of the previous year.
The highest annual increase was 41.78% in fertilizer and soil improvers subgroup
The other subgroups that indicated high increase were farm buildings (non-residential) with 36.54% and maintenance of buildings with 32.68%. On the other hand, seeds and planting stock with 5.85%, plant protection and pesticides with 11.09% and other goods and services with 16.10% were the subgroups that low annual increase realized.
The highest monthly increase was 5.73% in fertilizer and soil improvers subgroup
By the other subgroups that indicated high increase were maintenance of materials with 4.29% and farm buildings (non- residential) with 4.19%. On the other hand, plant protection and pesticides with 0.83% and materials with 0.84% were the subgroups which low monthly increase realized. Energy; lubricants with 0.94% was only subgroup that monthly decrease realized. (ILKHA)
