Zionist police violently quell Palestinian worshipers at Al-Aqsa
The zionist police suppressed a Palestinian march launched after Friday prayer in the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem, denouncing insults against Prophet Mohamed, peace be upon him, by zionist settlers.
The Red Crescent reported that nine citizens were injured, three of whom were taken to hospitals while six were treated in the field. The occupation police also arrested four youths.
Jerusalemite sources said that the occupation police fired rubber-coated metal bullets at the Muslim worshipers and stormed the Mosque through Bab Al-Silsilah and broke into the Dome of the Rock.
Since the early morning hours, the israeli police were deployed in Jerusalem in anticipation of clashes with the Palestinians after the young Jerusalemites called for organizing the protest march in Occupied Jerusalem.
On Tuesday, Jewish settlers launched the so-called Flag March and insulted the Prophet. They also carried a sign calling for the demolition of the Dome of the Rock and the erection of their alleged temple in the Bab al-Amud area. (ILKHA)
