Palestinian child killed by zionist regime in West Bank
A Palestinian child was proclaimed dead at dawn Thursday several hours after he suffered a serious bullet injury during clashes between local youths and the zionist occupation forces near Mount Sobeih in Beita town, south of Nablus.
According to local sources, 15-year-old Ahmed bani-Shamsa was critically injured by an explosive bullet in his head on Wednesday night and underwent surgery in Rafidia Hospital in Nablus, but doctors announced his death later today at dawn.
With his death, the number of Palestinians killed in recent weeks while defending Mount Sobeih climbed to five martyrs.
The other martyrs are Mohamed Hamayel, Zakariya Hamayel, Issa Barham and Tariq Sanubar.
For several weeks, local youths from Beita town and other areas of Nablus started to organize nightly protest events as a form of popular resistance against the zionist occupation and its settlers, who set up an outpost on Mount Sobeih.
During the events, the young men torch tires, use loudspeakers to play religious slogans, national songs, and sirens, and flash laser beams and flashlights at the settlers on the mount.
Organizers say the night rallies are aimed at creating confusion among the settlers and forcing them to leave the area. (ILKHA)
