Producer price index of agricultural products in Turkey rises by 20.20 annually
Producer Price Index of Agricultural Products increased by 20.20% annually and decreased by 0.43% monthly, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a statement on Monday.
Agriculture-PPI on the previous month decreased by 0.43%, on December of the previous year increased by 7.07%, on the same month of the previous year increased by 20.20%, and on the twelve months moving averages basis increased by 19.60% in May 2021.
Compared to the previous month in sectors; products of agriculture, hunting, and related services decreased by 1.35%, fishing products and other fishing products increased by 4.66%, and forestry products and related services increased by 34.76%. Regarding monthly changes by main groups; perennial crops decreased by 15.04%, live animals and animal products increased by 1.36%, and non-perennial crops increased by 4.48%.
The highest annual increase was 43.54% in the fiber plants subgroup
In May 2021, cereals (except rice), leguminous crops, and oilseeds with 26.59% and sheep and goats live; raw milk and shorn wool from sheep and goats with 23.68% were the subgroups where high increase realized. Rice (in hulk) with 2.32%, other tree and bush fruits and nuts with 6.71%, and vegetables and melons, roots, and tubers with 7.31% were the subgroups that indicated a low annual increase.
The highest monthly increase was 7.82% in the vegetables and melons, roots, and tubers subgroup
In May 2021, cereals (except rice), leguminous crops, and oilseeds with 2.92% and sheep and goats live; raw milk and shorn wool from sheep and goats with 1.95% were the subgroups where high increase realized. Fiber plants with 0.42% and other farmed animals and animal products with 0.52% were the subgroups that indicated a low annual increase. On the other hand, rice (in hulk) with 4.68% and poultry, live and eggs with 1.50% were the subgroups where monthly decrease realized. (ILKHA)
