Turkey’s National Security Council to convene under Erdoğan’s chairmanship
The meeting at the Presidential Complex will begin at 13:30 on Wednesday, according to the Turkish presidency.
The activities of the Turkish Armed Forces in Syria, Iraq, and Libya will be at the table.
The meeting will also discuss operations against PKK/YPG, FETO, and ISIS, and other security issues.
The National Security Council is the principal government agency used by the President of Turkey, the Commander-in-chief, to consider national security, military, and foreign policy matters with senior national security officials and coordinate these policies among various government agencies.
Like the national security councils of other countries, the MGK develops the national security policy. (ILKHA)
