Turkey: Economic confidence index realizes as 92.6 in May
The economic confidence index which was 93.9 in April decreased by 1.3% in May to 92.6, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a statement on Friday.
This decrease in the economic confidence index stemmed from the decreases in consumer, real sector (manufacturing industry), services, and retail trade confidence indices.
The consumer confidence index decreased by 3.6% and became 77.3, the real sector confidence index decreased by 0.3% and became 107.1, the services confidence index decreased by 1.1% and became 102.2, the retail trade confidence index decreased by 2.1% and became 100.9. On the other hand, the construction confidence index increased by 3.0% and became 79.6 in May compared to the previous month. (ILKHA)
